Rev.
Jeffrey K. Rumlin humbly serves as the Pastor of the Dayspring Baptist
Church in Jacksonville, FL. Since arriving at Dayspring in March of
2005, Rumlin under the direction of the Holy Spirit has revived this
ministry with spirit-filled worship, an in-depth weekly Bible Study
class, and ministering to the total needs of humanity. After preaching
and teaching, moving the saints of Dayspring from church membership
to Christian discipleship is Rumlin’s primary focus.
In September 2000 during a revival, Rumlin received his calling. He
was blessed to preach his initial sermon on July 15, 2001 in the same
church (Dayspring Baptist Church) in which he was baptized at the
young age of nine. Rumlin was ordained by Dayspring Baptist Church
on April 27, 2003.
As a seminarian in Atlanta, he received hands-on ministry experience
by serving on the ministerial staff of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church-
Atlanta, Georgia. There his father in the ministry, Pastor O.L. Blackshear
taught him to preach, teach, and always love God’s people. On
May 7, 2005 Rumlin earned a Master of Divinity Degree from the Interdenominational
Theological Center (ITC).
Rev. Jeffrey K. Rumlin is a native of Jacksonville, FL and received
his early education in the Duval Public School System. After graduating
from high school, Rev. Rumlin attended Florida A&M University
in Tallahassee, FL where he received a BS degree in Broadcast Journalism
in 1999.
Rumlin’s desire is to pastor a people with love, understanding
and compassion, notwithstanding the need to equip each disciple to
be proud, proactive and prophetic followers of Jesus Christ.
